WHAT IS STREET MEDICINE OAKLAND?
WHO WE ARE
Street Medicine Oakland is a collaborative effort between Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine students, Beaumont Health, and the Gary Burnstein Community Health Clinic that bridges the gap between the homeless members of our Pontiac community and healthcare providers. We work to better understand our patients' realities so that we may provide quality medical care and resources, while equipping future physicians and leaders in healthcare with perspective and experience in caring for the homeless population.
